Hi I'm Bob from Deluxe Handyman Services. I have over 45 years of experience in many residential construction and home maintenance trades to benefit my customers. Cathy and I started this business in 2006 when we moved to East Stroudsburg PA. Since then my business has grown steadily each year despite the economy going up and down several times and the Covid-19 pandemic! I have been voted

nine times by my customers and readers of the local newspaper I advertise in. I always strive to be the best and give my customers the highest quality craftsmanship and service they deserve!​

MY STORY:

​

I have worked in the trades for my entire life. I started with my father doing carpentry and building furniture at age seven! In my teens and twenties, I continued with my dad in trades businesses gaining more skills in carpentry by framing, building decks, installing trim molding, windows, doors, and cabinetry. We also did interior and exterior painting, drywall work, and landscaping.

After that, I worked in home construction for 10 years building tracts of homes. I worked my way up to being the lead on site handyman doing punch list work as the homes were built, and the warranty service repairs for the homeowners that bought them. I gained experience by going through every phase of the home building process, working alongside many different types of contractors and learning about their trades. I ordered building materials, dealt with building inspectors, and learned about building codes. Most importantly, I learned how to give good customer service to the new homeowners, so they got the quality of service they deserved from me and the company I represented.

Owning my business now for 15 years, I have learned more about what good customer service means to my company’s reputation. I bring all my skills and knowledge to the table every time I do a job or an estimate. I am here to help. Even if I can’t do the work myself, I can make referrals or give some free advice to guide you in the right direction. Working in someone’s home, you quickly develop an intimate relationship. This is where their family is, where their life happens! I always keep that in mind and take on any job in anyone’s home as if it were my own home. That is the kind of service my customers deserve and that is the reason my business continues growing and I get voted BEST HANDYMAN SERVICE IN THE POCONOS year after year!

MY BUSINESS:

 

1 - Treat others as you would want to be treated. 2 - Word of mouth is the best advertising. 3 - Quality work and a fair price go a long way. 4 – Keep it real.

I am a “down to earth” guy. I find that most people respond well to my “keep it real” approach. Sometimes what I say is not what they expected to hear about their home repair project, but at least I’m being honest and I’m giving them the benefit of my knowledge and experience to come up with the best solution.

​

Typically, when hiring a handyman service, a customer is looking for one “fix it” person to do odd jobs, repairs, or improvements to their home. Unless the service you hire comes with a crew of people, each with their own different skill sets, then no one handyman service truly “does it all” so I don’t claim that. I am a sole proprietorship and when it comes to working alone, I don’t “do it all”, but what I do I execute exceptionally well. I’m always honest with my customers about what I do and don’t do myself, as well as what I know and don’t know about. (Nobody “knows it all” either.)

I try to provide my customers with as many services as I can by using helpers for bigger jobs or giving referrals to other contractors if the work is beyond the scope of what I do. I network with many local contractors to build mutual support, keep integrity within the trades, and to help the local economy. I always provide the most positive experience possible with honesty, reliability, high quality work, follow-up, and outstanding customer service.

The bottom line is “One hand washes the other”. My customers and my contractors take care of me, and I take care of them. Everyone benefits from these “win-win” relationships.
